AOF... it means the Art of Friendship. If I remember right, it was "inspired" from "The Art of Flirting," thanks to Paul. If you ask why, I really dunno the reason why it was culled from that so I don't have the appropriate answer. Sorry.

Anyway, this group was formed during our sophomore year in college. All of us are LiaCom students. There are 13 of us! Yep, 13. Count 'em (oh, minus me of course!)

Makes you wonder how we ever got along, huh? Naturally, 13 different yet complementary personalities could not exist together without any squabbles or some sort of friction in one way or the other. But thanks to occasional and sometimes dramatic open forums back in the days at such locations as the college chapel or nearby cafeteria lawn, we got to iron out differences and learn from the experience.

It's great fun to be around MassComm people, as most of the AOFs are. Creativity never runs out and so the birth of such "annual traditions" like our annual Valentine's cum anniversary celebrations and Christmas (sleepover) parties where we had the practice of giving out "awards" to each other. We would be conducting surveys among ourselves and to our other classmates and come up with the consensus. Awards like AOF Queen, Most Fashionable, and so on were thought up. I remember I bagged the first ever "AOF Queen" award for being the friendliest AOF (see picture below!) Then, just like beauty pageants, we carry this "title" for the whole year and relinquish it to next one. Recalling all those wonderful moments never fails to put a smile on my face, no matter how immature and cheeky.

NOTE: Currently, I don't have a copy of our group picture where everyone is present. I'll update the pics as soon as I get a hold a complete group picture!

For almost a decade now, we've remained great friends even though the reality is that we have physically drifted apart due to different work and life commitments. But as much as we can, we try to reconvene and catch up. I can't wait for the AOF reunion where we are absolutely complete, and maybe even with the extended families tagging along.
